Fairoaks Mermaid and Marjorievu 2775 foisFairoaks Mermaid has just given birth to ten piglets. I took this photograph from the door of her pig ark. Marjorie is looking in the little hatch, and from Marjorie's viewpoint you can see the piglets. Mother was calm and considerate throughout. For those who think pigs are dirty, look at how she gleams, and look at how clean she keeps her home.

Lord's Wood Cottage Soak-Awayvu 390 foisThomas Hawkins installed this underground soak-away in a corner of Lord's Wood for the waste from Lord's Wood Cottage. I understand that they've buried porous stones in a chamber that they've excavated, and then have covered it with a black membrande to keep the soil from entering the chamber. We have our fingers crossed that this will stop the pollution into Lord's Wood.

Whitecroft Trackvu 106 foisLooking south down the track, towards Colletts Green Road. This photograph shows the electrical cables running through our oak tree --- we are trying to convince Central Networks to bury them. They want to cut down the tree!
