Marjorie in Aquaba, JordanПереглядів: 464For my 40th Birthday, Marjorie gave me a trip to Jordan -- on the Concorde (May 1989). We flew to Aqaba, on the Red Sea, and then took a bus to the carved city of Petra. This photo was taken by the pool of our hotel near Petra.

During the late Hellenistic and Imperial period local worthies engaged in what seems to us now a fantastic orgy of construction, carving Greco-Roman faades from the living rock. Marjorie stands near a few stone pillars.

Underwater View of the Pet RampПереглядів: 491This is a solid ramp, with a grooved non-skid surface. The sturdy metal legs hold it down to the pool bottom. The bottom of the ramp is deeper than the dog's feet when the dog starts to swim. The pool is only 4.5 deep, with a level bottom throughout.
