Scottish | Kobe Sirloin Steakvu 1719 foisI personally think the best way to cook a Scottish | Kobe sirloin steak is on the grill, with a bit of ground pepper and ground sea salt. This piece of steak is served with garden peas and potatoes. We grow our own potatoes at Lucies Farm and I'm amazed at how different they taste from "store bought" potatoes.1 commentaires

Kune Kune - Gloucester Crossvu 5215 foisDon't ask me how, but somehow Chase's kune kune pigs mated with our Gloucester Old Spot boar, and this piggy is the result. When I tried to take her photo she kept trying to hide behind the water trough. I guess I can't blame her for not wanting to have her photo snapped.

In the Four Acre Fieldvu 8582 foisThree different types of pigs: in the foreground, the large black pig is a fairly elderly (but hugely fast) Iron Age - Gloucester Old Spot cross. The red pig is a pure Tamworth, and the piglet coming out of the ark is a Berkshire.

Iron Age - Gloucester Old Spotvu 10798 foisThis round piggie is a cross between an Iron Age pig (itself a cross between a Tamworth and a wild boar) and a Gloucester Old Spot. She looks fat, and she's not young any more, but she can move faster than any of the pigs.

Berkshire Piglet and Kune Kune Old Ladyvu 3220 foisThe cute little Berkshire piglet having a bit of a sniff in the mud with my daughter Chase's ugly Kune Kune - Gloucester Old Spot pig.

A Pig? Or A Hippo?vu 259 foisThis sow is about 10 or 11 years old. She's a cross between an Iron Age pig (itself a cross between a Tamworth and a wild boar) and a Gloucester Old Spot. While she looks incredibly fat, she's the fastest pig we have --- bar none. There is no chance, zero, of catching her.

Top Rump Roastvu 557 foisThis delicious medium-rare piece of cold roast beef (with some freshly ground salt) is Scottish | Kobe top rump roast. Marjorie cooked it at a low temperature for a long time, using her trusty meat thermometer. A bit of green salad, some red potato salad --- and I'm a happy camper. I love taking these photographs, as I then get to eat the props.

Chase's Pigvu 7441 foisThis magnificent pig is a cross between a kune kune pig (the small pigs from New Zeland, who have wattles) and a Gloucester Old Spot pig. We never understood how that mating took place. This pig is about 12 or 13 years old, but she can still move as fast as a piglet.

An Iron Age Pigvu 17697 foisThis 11 or 12 year old pig is a cross between an Iron Age pig (which itself is a cross between a Tamworth pig and a wild boar) and a Gloucester Old Spot pig. While she looks fat, she is incredibly fast.

Tamworth Pig and "Sinister" Pigvu 2492 foisThe red Tamworth stands behind what we call a "sinister" pig. The "sinister" is a cross between an iron age pig (itself a cross between a wild boar and a Tamworth pig) and a Gloucester Old Spot pig.
