Marjorie Surveying our Christmas Presents -- 2005464 viewsEven though it was just Marjorie and me (and all of our doggie guests) at Whitecroft this Christmas, we still seemed to have a lot of presents.

The Whitecroft Track -- Looking North462 viewsA view down our track, showing our farm tractor parked by our gate. Our neighbours claimed that the tractor was "blocking" the track (a track that we own). I took this photograph to show that their claim was spurious.

Marjorie at the Big Mine461 viewsThis large red mine, along the waterfront in Dartmouth, is apparently a place to put contributions to the Shipwrecked Fishermen and Mariners Royal Benevolent Society. But it was full.

The Fresh Garden Salad, McDonald's Style460 viewsMarjorie and I had to pick up some paint -- and I wanted lunch. Marjorie normally doesn't let me go to McDonalds, but I convinced her to give it a try because of their new, healthy food. Their website talks about garden salads made "using a host of wholesome ingredients including at least 6 varieties of salad leaves." This is Marjorie's second garden salad: her first was inedible. We were told this salad was "freshly made." Hmmm.

Repairing the Fountain459 viewsGiving the fountain in the front garden a good clean. Unfortunately, in doing this the young lad managed to remove all of the moss from the outside of the fountain, and kill all of the plants in the front. The fountain looks "new" again, but has lost the patina it took a dozen years to acquire. October 2 2006
