Fairoaks Mermaid and Marjorie4216 viewsFairoaks Mermaid has just given birth to ten piglets. I took this photograph from the door of her pig ark. Marjorie is looking in the little hatch, and from Marjorie's viewpoint you can see the piglets. Mother was calm and considerate throughout. For those who think pigs are dirty, look at how she gleams, and look at how clean she keeps her home.

Westbrook Settles In4101 viewsWe picked up Westbrook Peter Lad 1st on May 18, 2005. It was his birthday --- he's 11 weeks old. We had an uneventful ride down from his original home in Little Hereford, and he's settled in nicely. We have him in a large stable until he grows a bit larger and can be put out with the bigger pigs.

Marjorie and the Tamworth Lady4034 viewsMarjorie has shown great wisdom and has worn white trousers out to visit the piggy wiggy. Naturally, the pig's reaction was to coat her nose with mud and then want to show Marjorie how much she is loved. Kissy, kissy . . .

The Swimming Tamworth4007 viewsOnce we got him in the pool, there was no stopping him. He's a strong swimmer, and he raced around the edge of the pool like an Olympic athlete.

Underwater Pig3943 viewsTo take the swimming Tamworth pig photo, the pig had to be gently pushed into the heated pool. Marjorie, in full SCUBA gear and with an underwater camera and strobe, waited for the pig to, er, fall. I was surprised at how quickly the pig sank. He then soared to the surface, like a submarine in a Sean Connery movie that's blown its ballast.

Muddy Tamworth Boar3586 viewsHe's been sleeping in the mud bath. He almost looks more like a hippo on the Maasai Mara than a Tamworth pig in sunny Worcestershire.
