Marjorie at a Roadside Restaurant in Viet Namšt. ogledov:605We just stopped by the side of the road, and this "restaurant" was in essentially a tent. We had a delicious meal, and didn't get sick. And then we go to La Mamounia in Morocco, pay a fortune for our room and meals, and get food poisoning. Ironic.

Marjorie With a Tank at the Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Namšt. ogledov:590We read about this museum and were curious. We had to specifically ask our guide to take us. There was nobody else there. The whole museum was dusty and forgotten, something left over (barely) from another time, another place. I'd be surprised if it's still there.

Marjorie and Me, Eiffel Tower, 1989št. ogledov:589I barely recognize Marjorie in this photograph. While I don't remember Marjorie looking like that (what's with all the hair?) I remember buying that Lacoste green sweater in Paris. I still have it.

Marjorie at the Hotel Metropole, Hanoišt. ogledov:586Hanoi hadn't welcomed many tourists when we visited. We had reservations at another hotel -- built by Cubans -- and it was awful. We learned that the Hotel Metropole had just been refurbished and it was day one of its "soft" opening. We were there in a flash. Even in Hanoi Marjorie managed to fill a shopping bag.

The Concorde in Aquaba, Jordanšt. ogledov:586For my 40th Birthday (1989), Marjorie gave me a trip to Jordan on the Concorde. We started in Aquaba, with an overnight visit to Petra, and then took Concorde to Amman. While there, we went to the Dead Sea, and also road on an old Turkish steam railroad and had a picnic in the desert.
