The Laurels on Selma Avenue - Hollywoodšt. ogledov:528When Marcia and I were first married (1971) we lived at The Laurels at 8017 Selma Avenue in Hollywood --- at the time near Schwab's Pharmacy on Sunset Boulevard. Our apartment was in the upper right hand corner of this California pink building. When we drove by it in 2001 --- some 30 years later --- nothing had changed.

The trees in the background were manchineel trees, common near the beach in the Caribbean. One little worry: "Standing under the tree is hazardous if it is raining. The water passing through the leaves and fruit will cause burns and blisters if it comes in contact with your skin." Fortunately, it was sunny.

Marjorie in the City of Petra, Jordan - 1989št. ogledov:520The city of Petra grew rich from the spice trade. During the late Hellenistic and Imperial period local worthies engaged in what seems to us now a fantastic orgy of construction, carving Greco-Roman faades from the living rock. Marjorie stands near a few stone pillars.

Craig and Marjorie By The Hotel Pool, Petrašt. ogledov:512It was very hot at Petra (100 degrees+), so we enjoyed a dip in the hotel pool near Petra, in Jordan. I'm glad to see that I was flying the corporate Transax colours.
