Burj al Arab Cocktail Loungevista 4935 vecesThis colourful cocktail lounge actually sticks out from near the top of the Burj al Arab hotel. So we were actually hundreds of feet above the Arabian Sea.

Curly Tailvista 4926 vecesWhen I saw this photograph, it reminded me of those ribbon pins that seem to be all the rage at awards ceremonies. This curly tail belongs to one of our Berkshire pigs.

Our Bathtub -- Burj al Arab Hotelvista 4839 vecesOur suite (all rooms at the Burj al Arab Hotel are suites) covered two floors, with a long curving staircase connecting the floors. We had a large shower and a big round bath tub, complete with a painting of Dubai.

WMF Gondolier Bowlvista 4824 vecesWe purchased this large centrepiece bowl --- made from silver-plated "Britannia Metal" (pewter) in the late 1800's --- in Buenos Aires in 1995. As there's no room for it at Whitecroft, we've put it up for sale on eBay.

"I Didn't Know Pigs Could Swim."vista 4757 vecesI was given a book called The Ubiquitous Pig by my father in 1993. In this book is an underwater photograph of a pig and a lady swimming by Garry Winogrand taken at Aquarena Springs in San Marcos, Texas. Here's our own version, with Barbara and a Tamworth.3 commentarios
