The Olympic Cheerleaders - Oval Lingotto - TorinoПросмотров: 755I was surprised to see that there were "Olympic Cheerleaders." I don't know if it was the lighting in the Oval Lingotto, but their costumes looked dull (and almost unclean) to me. But they were cheery!

Colletts Green Road - DamagesПросмотров: 755I took these photos for the Worcestershire County Council. There are numerous patches in the road in front of our home, and they are just getting worse. I know they have finite resources -- but it would be nice if they would do some more patching if they can't do a complete re-surfacing.

Severn Bore - 2003Просмотров: 754We'd lived near the River Severn for a long time and had never seen the Severn Bore. It's a big wave that comes up river usually once each month. Customarily, only two of the annual bores are really big --- and this was one of them. We had breakfast at (where else?) the Severn Bore Pub.

Shall We Dance? Alpaca ShearingПросмотров: 754These two gentlemen, from New Zealand, spend a couple of months touring the U.K. and shearing circa 4,000 alpacas. Our three are old men and their fleece isn't of particularly good quality. But we have them sheared because it's healthier for the alpacas.
