Magnolia Blossom - WhitecroftПросмотров: 1019I love Magnolias. Great, huge, pure white flowers. It's a shame that they seem to fall apart so quickly, so it's hard to bring them in the house for a big floral display. (Unless there's some secret that only Southern belles learn, while drinking juleps.) This magnolia bud is in our large tree, Whitecroft, on a hot summer afternoon.

Magnolia With Flying InsectПросмотров: 1019I love magnolias. The only problem is that these huge flowers seem to fall apart: in doing so they avoid being cut from the tree and put in a vase. Wonderful big petals, and a great smell that, at least in this case, attracted a small flying insect of some sort.
