Wild Boar At Rest949 viewsThe wild boar love the straw (etc.) from benath the Guernsey cow and Guernsey bull. I guess it's warm and smells, well, "piggie." They root around in it, sleep in it, and gradually convert it into soil.

The Tokyo Shimbun949 viewsThe Tokyo Shimbun is a large daily newspaper in Japan. They did an article about pampering pets throughout the world: dog swimming in Washington, D.C., acupuncture in Beijing, and swimming-acupuncture-massage at Lucies Farm. The photograph shows Richard Chaming, our veterinarian, with his dog Spice talking with Marjorie, as Gregorz swims in the pool.

Latch on Stable Gate949 viewsThis Came electronic latch was installed by Automation Gates in early 2005. The stable gate is exposed to direct wind, and the installers indicated that the wind on the gate was breaking the arm that connected the gate with the motor. At the same time, the motor was replaced with a different --- and presumably better --- motor. The latch meant that when the gate closed it would be supported, against the wind, on both ends. But the latch didn't always engage --- usually because of the wind.
