Marjorie at a Roadside Restaurant in Viet Namvu 697 foisWe just stopped by the side of the road, and this "restaurant" was in essentially a tent. We had a delicious meal, and didn't get sick. And then we go to La Mamounia in Morocco, pay a fortune for our room and meals, and get food poisoning. Ironic.

The Six Pearsvu 696 foisWe bought these six pears from Solstice in London. They're from France, and the tips of the stems have been sealed with red wax. But the pears looked a bit beat up when they arrived (I took this photograph shortly after we opened the box). They taste great --- but I'm not overly fond of all the cuts and bruises.

Green and Bluevu 695 foisWhen I was a kid, I had a typewriter ribbon that was blue and green (or maybe it was purple and green) --- rather than black and red. These two plants in our garden remind me of that old typewriter.

My Leica R8 35mm Single Lens Reflex Cameravu 694 foisI've been waiting for the Leica Digital Modul R to come out so that I could convert my Leica R8 to a digital camera. But the wait seems endless, and the recent review in Amateur Photographer wasn't stellar. So off to eBay. I can still use my Leica lenses on my Canon EOS 1D Mark II digital camera.

Severn Bore - 2003vu 693 foisWe'd lived near the River Severn for a long time and had never seen the Severn Bore. It's a big wave that comes up river usually once each month. Customarily, only two of the annual bores are really big --- and this was one of them. We had breakfast at (where else?) the Severn Bore Pub.
