Three Old Gentleman635 زيارةThese three old gentlemen --- Batman, Brad, and McVit --- are all that's left from our small herd of alpacas. We decided, after our visit to Peru, that nobody in their right mind would pay 4,000 or more for an animal that has one cria a year (if you're lucky) and can produce enough fibre for a 45 sweater each season. But they sure are cute.

Ho Chi Minh City "Museum of War Remnants" with a Helicopter634 زيارةFrom the New York Times of July 1999: "The city's Museum of War Remnants, with its displays of captured weapons and its catalog of horrors, only recently amended its name, with changing times, from the Museum of American War Crimes." We were there before it changed its name. Our guide didn't want to take us, and felt very awkward about it all.

Part of the very, very loooooooooong walk to the M & S634 زيارةWe were told, by the signs on the M1 Southbound, that there was an M&S at Trowell. Well liar, liar, pants on fire. The M&S was on the other side of the motorway, and there were no lifts on either side. It was an unbearably painful walk, complete with buckets and leaks.
