Westbrook Settles Invu 3143 foisWe picked up Westbrook Peter Lad 1st on May 18, 2005. It was his birthday --- he's 11 weeks old. We had an uneventful ride down from his original home in Little Hereford, and he's settled in nicely. We have him in a large stable until he grows a bit larger and can be put out with the bigger pigs.

The Fresh Garden Salad, McDonald's Stylevu 219 foisMarjorie and I had to pick up some paint -- and I wanted lunch. Marjorie normally doesn't let me go to McDonalds, but I convinced her to give it a try because of their new, healthy food. Their website talks about garden salads made "using a host of wholesome ingredients including at least 6 varieties of salad leaves." This is Marjorie's second garden salad: her first was inedible. We were told this salad was "freshly made." Hmmm.

The helpful staff said this one had been "freshly made." It appears to be made from old ingredients. It certainly doesn't look like the salad pictured on their website, or at the counter.

Large Lady, Small Carvu 200 foisMarjorie and I were having a won ton min at Wing Yip in Birmingham when this large lady came out of another oriental restaurant. To my amusement she went right to this small red car and hopped in.

Me and a Scary Lady on a Thronevu 679 foisI have no idea who this lady is, why she's sitting on a throne, and why I look so unhappy. The photo has a Christmas look --- perhaps sending letters to Santa? But the lady is a tad scary.

Top Rump Roastvu 557 foisThis delicious medium-rare piece of cold roast beef (with some freshly ground salt) is Scottish | Kobe top rump roast. Marjorie cooked it at a low temperature for a long time, using her trusty meat thermometer. A bit of green salad, some red potato salad --- and I'm a happy camper. I love taking these photographs, as I then get to eat the props.

Cooked Picanha Steakvu 4301 foisWe did not cut this when it was on the grill -- this kept the juices inside. When we cut it, hot, on the cutting board, the delicious melted Kobe fat just poured out. Delicious with a simple salad.
