PAAVille Skyline - Wake Island17345 viewsI would guess this in the main intersection of PAAVille on Wake Island, photographed by my father, Woody Walsh, circa 1953. He took a series of slides, and these two images were stitched together with modern software. I like the one lone soldier walking in the lower right hand corner --- he's the only sign of "traffic."

Berkshire Piglets16565 viewsWe bought Fairoaks Mermaid 4 as a pedigree Berkshire sow in gilt. The sellers, the Bignells, told us her possible farrowing date was May 26. On the appointed date, along came the piglets. This photograph was taken just after they were born.

An Iron Age Pig16048 viewsThis 11 or 12 year old pig is a cross between an Iron Age pig (which itself is a cross between a Tamworth pig and a wild boar) and a Gloucester Old Spot pig. While she looks fat, she is incredibly fast.

Scottish | Kobe Beef Teriyaki Steak Sandwich15816 viewsScottish | Kobe beef, cut 8mm thick, marinated in teriyaki sauce, and cooked briefly on the barbeque. Served with some fresh tomatoes, and on a fresh roll.

Old Photograph of a Diver in a Hard Hat Rig15544 viewsI added this public domain photograph to a scrapbook-like "frame," and have used this to illustrate our eBay listing for the Mark V diving helmet. This is a stock photograph -- not a photo of the helmet that we're selling.

A Berkshire Pig14754 viewsWe once raised Gloucester Old Spot pigs -- until everyone started doing it. I could never understand why the GOS pig had been bred so that its ears covered its eyes. With the Berkshire pig, the ears stand up and the pig is quite majestic.

Tamworth Enjoying Mud Bath13308 viewsShe's about to be moved to her "new" field --- covered with grass --- to give us time to renew this pig field with special pig-resistant grass from Hurrell's. But, in the meantime, time for a nice mud bath.
