Kiko After His Lung Surgery110 mol gekuckt ginnDespite the big surgical gash behind his right leg, he's still bright-eyed and was happy to see us. He made it clear that he'd had enough of hospital life, and wanted to go home.

Kiko -- Hairless On One Side119 mol gekuckt ginnKiko a few days after the surgery to remove two lobes from his right lung. This is our first visit with Kiko after his operation. They certainly shaved a lot of his fur. He was hungry and seemed happy to see us. What he really wanted to do was leave! We're hoping he can go home later today.

Marjorie Visiting With Kiko115 mol gekuckt ginnAt the Queen Mother Hospital, Royal Veterinary College. This is our first visit with Kiko after he had a couple of lung lobes removed surgically. We drove down to Potters Bar on Saturday afternoon to see how he was doing and to give him some fish (which we bought at a motorway stop on the M40 for 7.99).

Statue of Liberty from the Deck of the QE2221 mol gekuckt ginnArriving in New York City by large ocean liner is thrilling. This was a warm spring day, April 1991. It was the first crossing of the year for the QE2 and we were a day late because we encountered 55 foot waves in the North Atlantic. The Statue of Liberty is in the distance.

Arriving in New York City on the QE2 - April 1991140 mol gekuckt ginnThis panoramic photograph, taken with a Widelux camera from the top deck of the QE2, is now quite poignant because of the prominence of the two towers of the World Trade Center. We couldn't have imagined when we took this photograph on a warm spring day in April 1991 that just over a decade later both towers would be gone. In November 2008 the QE2 sails to Dubai where she will be permanently moored.
