Spring Morning on the Whitecroft "Canal"307 odsłonUp early in the morning (unusual for me) to check on the newly arrived Bronze turkeys. I spotted these yellow flowers on the banks of the small Whitecroft "canal." It's spring.

Magnolias - Whitecroft324 odsłonI love magnolias, especially the big white ones you find all over the place in the U.S. south --- "grandaflora" I think they're called. This year the "English" magnolias have been gorgeous. I don't know if this is because of our hot summer in 2003. Whatever the reason, they're beautiful.

Whitecroft - Spring Afternoon372 odsłonApril 25, 2004 -- Gorgeous Spring Sunday -- Marjorie and I spent the day reading the papers, etc., out on the lanai. (Actually, I read the papers while Marjorie tossed Kiko's ball.) Kevin mowed the front lawn on Friday afternoon, so took this photograph with the Cone Noses.

Artichoke and Mint319 odsłonWe got lost one day going to Coventry (or somepleace awful) and we found the National Herb Centre. They had the most wonderful, big, silver-green plants that turned out to be artichoke plants. Ours didn't grow anywhere as large, yet. But fresh artichokes from the garden are great. We've surrounded the little artichoke plant with mint. Whitecroft, on a warm Spring day in April, 2004.

Whitecroft Garden - May 2004310 odsłonMarjorie, the dogs, and I spent all day today --- Sunday --- outside in the glorious sunshine. As we were going in, I walked around the garden with my camera and spotted these pretty flowers. Springtime turning into summer in the English countryside.
