Me and a Scary Lady on a Thronešt. ogledov:678I have no idea who this lady is, why she's sitting on a throne, and why I look so unhappy. The photo has a Christmas look --- perhaps sending letters to Santa? But the lady is a tad scary.

Petra, Jordan -- Sand For Salešt. ogledov:261When I was playing around with this photo using Photoshop, I enlarged the lower left-hand corner where two gentlemen seem to be doing something. I had a good laugh when I could read the hand-lettered sign in the corner: "Petra Sand For Sale."

A Caribineri (Policeman) in Cesana Pariolšt. ogledov:549The cashier at a restaurant near our hotel observed, "We thought we'd be invaded by tourists. Instead, we were invaded by the police." Most caribineri were glum and unfriendly. This gentleman, however, was different. He even helped me to my seat, and carried my camera.

NBC had an outdoor television studio near-by (for the Today Show), hence there was this big TV screen. We had lunch at the Cafe San Carlo -- it was so horrible that we sent it back. The young couple at the table near us, from Malta, had the same problem. When in Torino, avoid the Cafe San Carlo!
