Whitecroft Decking260 x angesehenThird time lucky? The first deck was built of teak and painted with special marine deck paint. It was incredibly slippery. The second deck was built of soft wood and stained, but the paint kept peeling off (you can see the latest coat on the right hand side -- the grey paint applied in 2003). The new decking is guaranteed for 25 years. Installed in August 2005, so we have until August 2030. I will be 81.

At last, an English newspaper292 x angesehenAboard the Norfolk Line on our way from Dunkirk to Dover. We really tried hard to make the noon sailing but an overturned truck not far from Dunkirk lost us valuable time and it wasn't even on our side of the road. They rubber neck everywhere!!

Mana With His Pink Toy286 x angesehenMana loves to play ball, and we often find him asleep with his favourite ball in his mouth. Unlike our other bull terriers who try to destroy the balls, Mana is very gentle with them. This is his current favourite: it actually has a strawberry scent.

Three Old Gentleman329 x angesehenThese three old gentlemen --- Batman, Brad, and McVit --- are all that's left from our small herd of alpacas. We decided, after our visit to Peru, that nobody in their right mind would pay 4,000 or more for an animal that has one cria a year (if you're lucky) and can produce enough fibre for a 45 sweater each season. But they sure are cute.
