Battleship Aurora393 زيارةOn October 25 1917 the battleship Aurora was ordered to take to sea. At 9:45 PM a blank shot fired from her forecastle signaled the start of the assualt on the Winter Palace, which is said to be the start of the October Revolution that led to the overthrow of the Czar. The Aurora is now preserved in St. Petersburg.

Bab al Shams Buffet962 زيارةThe dinner buffet was quite spectacular. On the evening we visited, the desert "fort" was not very crowded, and most of the guests ate early.

Magnolia With Flying Insect237 زيارةI love magnolias. The only problem is that these huge flowers seem to fall apart: in doing so they avoid being cut from the tree and put in a vase. Wonderful big petals, and a great smell that, at least in this case, attracted a small flying insect of some sort.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4289 زيارةWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor.
