Birchfields 1št. ogledov:303The ten acre field at Birchfields, with the crush and small "management" pen in the foreground. We planted all of the trees --- on the left and right --- after we purchased Birchfields. The green "grass" is actually weeds: we are in the process of renewing the grass, and these weeds need to be sprayed off before the grass is planted.

We have tried to do so gently, but some people have felt we were somehow in the wrong. "I've walked my dog here for 25 years," was a typical response. Alas, if you run red lights all the time, the policeman will still give you a ticket if he sees you doing so.

Pool and Back Garden at Whitecroftšt. ogledov:271We've had the pool liner replaced, again. Haven't actually put a toe in the outside pool since 1996 or so. It's been quite a chore to get it clean --- lots of ugly algae and other things. Looks like we'll have it ready --- in time for autumn.
